Delicious Paleo Porridge
If you are someone who is having cravings for traditional breakfast oats, this recipe is a wonderful replacement that also happens to be lower in carbs. If you make it fresh it takes 5-10 minutes or alternatively you can leave them overnight and it’ll only take 3-4 minutes.
Serves 1
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup almond meal
- 1 tbsp flax seeds
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup coconut or almond milk
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
Method
- Combine all the ingredients in a small pot over medium heat.
- Bring heat to a simmer while constantly stirring.
- Cook porridge for about 5 minutes or until it has thickened.
- Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl.
- Serve and enjoy.
